Andrea Hutt who has been instrumental in ESAR since it’s inception has found a new love in the past couple of years. You may know Andrea as our volunteer co-ordinator, but you can now call her Ironman. Cue Black Sabbath music. Andrea just finished Ironman Florida and this was her first shot at an Ironman distance event which is : Swim 2.4 miles , Bike 112 miles, and then top it all off with a 26.2 mile run (yes that is a marathon). Huttster has been focusing on her triathlon training and lifestyle and adventure racing has taken a back seat. She is no newbie to endurance sports though as she has also finished a 36 hour Raid the North and numerous other longer adventure races. We are very happy for Andrea and a big congrats to her for “believing”. We are still waiting to hear from Andrea after her big race and we will give you an update once we hear from her.

A note from Sean – “Just wanted to forward along the link for the AR World Champs which we’ll be taking part in next week. We leave for Lisbon on Tuesday, but the race doesn’t start until Sunday. We then have until the Friday following to complete the 900km course – if you’d like to check our progress, I’m certain there will be a leaderboard, GPS tracker, or something along those lines posted soon to www.arwc2009.com We’re team #9 (”ATP Salomon”).”
Good luck Sean!
